Off to Barcelona

Tom and I spent Saturday in Toledo which was exhausting but amazing... I took about 100 pictures. Hee hee... No time to post the pics though, as now we are off to Barcelona... yesterday we visited the first town they lived in here in Spain, and Tom hung from the monkey bars he used to hang from as a kid. :) It was a memory filled day for them all around, and I hung in there on the ride.

So I hope to find an internet cafe or something in Barcelona to unload the next batch of pics. The weather here has cooled off considerably all of a sudden, although it´s still warm. We hope all of you are enjoying your summer and will post soon!

Cheers,
Krista and Tom

August 22: On the road to Barcelona, a stop in Zaragoza part 1

Hills along the road... the "veins" look incredible:
A castle in the distance:
Classic example of a plateau:
Wind-powered electric generators (or something like that):The look small in the above pic, so here's a close up:

First view of Zaragoza as the sun is setting:

Bit of an intimidating fellow, isn't he?:
View of the large courtyard we walked, with the cathedral. The sphere in the foreground is the globe... without North or South America. I'm guessing it's a reflection of what land was thought to exist years and years ago:
The wall that the Romans built (with Tom.. ever patient):
A church at the other end of the courtyard:
The church wall:
Hail, Caesar:I love this pic; the frog is facing Caesar, and shooting water into the pool:Another bit of that stone wall:A view of an outdoor hallway leading from the courtyard:
