The List Nazi

And that's just the beginning. From left to right: Tom's To Do list, Tom's Carry-on list, Krista's Carry-on list, and Krista's To Do list. I still have to put up our Clothing-to-Pack lists. Hehehe...guess who's the list Nazi?

Seriously, though, I'm worried about how many items on my list begin with buy. See:
  • Find someone to take care of my guinea pig while I'm gone
  • Buy journal
  • Buy Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince
  • Pay all possible bills
  • Put together itinerary of where I want to go
  • Buy a digital camera
  • Buy a memory card
  • Let landlord know we will be gone for 3 weeks
  • Buy neck pillows for flight
  • Cut Tom's hiar
  • Learn some basic Spanish
  • Buy brainteasers for flight
  • Buy cleansing wipes and travel-sized toiletries (or cases...depending on how light we pack; I'm hoping to pack light enough to just take my regular toiletries)
  • Lay out what clothes I'm bringing
  • Get office, friends and relatives' addresses (for postcard sending)
  • Sew Canadian flag onto my backpack
  • Take my guinea pig to the piggysitters
  • Find out about travel insurance (gulp!)
  • Pay Tom's mom back for the plane ticket
  • Buy hay and guinea pig pellets
  • Get all dishes done
  • Clean out fridge (yuck)
  • Do laundry
  • Convert birthday $ to Euro
  • Buy a travel guidebook
And that doesn't include the food we have to get for the flight:

Krista's carry-on
  • bottled water
  • suckers and gum (for take offs and landings)
  • clif bars
  • sandwiches
  • cd player
  • cds
  • Harry Potter
  • batteries
  • neck pillow
  • Valarian (to help me sleep)
  • mineral salts
  • deck of cards
  • crossword puzzles
  • brain-teasers
  • wallet
  • chapstick
  • passport
  • note pad and pen
  • journal
  • cleansing towelettes
  • cal-mag
  • various feminine supplies
Add to that, we are giving the bride and groom-to-be $100 as a wedding gift.

And it sounds like Tom's parents still think that renting a car for the entire trip is the best idea.

I agree on both counts. I am jealous and you guys are a cute couple. If you still have time, check the library for the book.
